Wargaming aimed to modernize and enhance World of Tanks and World of Tanks Modern Armor, making it more cinematic, immersive, and engaging for a global audience.

The project required reimagining key game elements such as the in-game garage, UI, splash screens, and branding while maintaining the franchise's iconic visual identity.

The challenge also included integrating collaborations with major franchises like Hot Wheels, G.I. Joe, and WWE, ensuring seamless and authentic representation within the World of Tanks universe.

As a Concept Artist collaborating with the Executive Producers, Art Director, and Creative Director, I contributed to high-profile aspects of the project by focusing on:

  • Garage Redesign: Reimagined the in-game garage to integrate the commander character seamlessly into the experience, enabling smooth transitions between vehicles and characters. This redesign enhanced player immersion and engagement by creating a more cohesive user experience.

  • UI Modernization: Partnered with the Creative Director to develop modern UI concepts inspired by cinematic war films like Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers. This included exploring lighting and material interactions to create an atmospheric and immersive interface that complemented the game’s environment.

  • Cross-Brand Integrations: Designed environments, vehicles, and assets that incorporated iconic elements from Hot Wheels, G.I. Joe, and WWE into the game. These collaborations required a balance between respecting the source material and maintaining the cohesive aesthetic of the World of Tanks brand.

  • Logo and Splash Screen Design: Explored logo concepts and splash screens to align with the game’s branding strategy and create visually striking assets for the launch.

  • War Chest Concept Exploration: Developed sketches exploring innovative device designs for in-game interactions, enhancing engagement and reinforcing the thematic narrative.
