FROM CONCEPT

TO IMMERSION

  FOUNDATIONS

  • As a lead, my role is to ensure that our work stays aligned with the initial concept.

That means ensuring camera, weapon positions, visual effects, animation, sound, and music all hit the intended tone and energy.

It’s about preserving the feel we aimed for from the start, and doing so takes time, care, and a lot of fine-tuning.

This means tweaking numbers until every detail supports that vision.

  • Using Blueprint elements in Unreal, alongside close collaboration with our engineers, allows us to establish a strong foundation for the project.

  • Test, test, and test again. Then put yourself in the player’s shoes and ask: Is this fun?

Basic shapes, layout test, scale, and game play flow.

By building a solid foundation that’s easy to modify while still imposing its limitations, we create a space where gameplay exploration can thrive.

It's within these boundaries that the most innovative and memorable experiences emerge. Using Unreal’s visual scripting tools, we prototype, tweak, and push every interaction until the result matches the vision.

It enables the art team to explore level design, mood, and other critical aspects of the game, helping to maintain momentum and keep the project on track.

*WARNING*

BREAKING BLUEPRINTS IS PART OF THE JOB, AND SO IS APOLOGIZING TO YOUR ENGINEERS RIGHT AFTER.
